Dino De Laurentiis has produced a few good movies (he was honored with the Thalberg Award at the 2001 Academy Awards) but his bad movies far out-weigh the good ones. In their 1980 book The Golden Turkey Awards Harry and Michael Medved aptly dubbed him "Dino De Horrendous". His passion for big stars, big budgets and big spectacle has resulted in some of the most enjoyably awful films of the 70's and 80's.
